The creation of Robinson Speakers was a long and difficult road, like so many that are worth the journey. The competitive business landscape was ready for something very new, and Robinson Speakers pinpointed a gaping hole in the market.
Of course there was room for better service, and a more boutique feel to a speaker agency, but there was also a distinct lack of bureaus that represented the buyers in a transaction. It seemed that all the interest was placed on the speaker, and not the event organizer.
They believed if the agency was built upon old fashioned values, with trust and friendships, it would be a brand that could survive. They knew the foundation for the business would take many months to build, but it would be built to last.
The business they imagined would be a place clients could trust, where Robinson Speakers would be the beacon of light, that would one day be the standard everyone else admired.
No Rush For The Fast Buck
During their first year, Robinson Speakers met with and conducted business with hedge funds, colleges, financial institutions, advertising firms, energy companies, multi-national corporations and law firms. The people they have met continue to be friends and cherished clients, relationships that should last forever.
There is no rush for the fast buck, but rather the honest way of doing business, with a vested interest in pleasing their clients, advising them where possible, suggesting keynote speakers if they would like suggestions, but always maintaining the fiduciary role of a blue chip agency.
The plan continues, one day to be the supreme leader in the field of speaker brokerage, and a sigh of relief for event planners. Based entirely on integrity, Robinson Speakers is building a team with a passion for stories.
